LEAN: Establishing Conditions of Satisfaction

Our first educational event in 2024 will take a deep dive into the Lean practice of establishing Conditions of Satisfaction for projects. Conditions of Satisfaction set clear goals and become a compass for the entire team’s success. A discussion will take place regarding the research done by Bent Flyvberg, such as optimism bias, the planning fallacy, and reference class forecasting, and how it relates to Conditions of Satisfaction.

Lori and Colin’s careers span the architectural, construction and owner representation worlds. They offer unique perspectives that represent all facets of the industry. Lori is a Project Manager for the State of Utah and Colin is the Preconstruction Director for the University of Utah. They have been involved in several Target Value Delivery projects. They value your thoughts, and seek to learn, grow, and improve along with the entire Utah construction and design community.
