The Airplane Simulation: Flow and Batch Size in Construction with LEGOs™
Join the Nashville CoP for an afternoon filled with friendly competition, LEGO™ airplanes, and some hands-on learning! The airplane simulation is an exercise in production system design that illustrates the impacts of batch size and pull vs. push systems of work execution. This is a great introduction to the Lean tenets of flow and waste for those new to Lean, and a fun reminder of the power of small adjustments for those already well into their Lean journey.
