The Origins and Future of Lean Construction

Explore the Origins and Future of Lean Construction

Join LCI New England for a special in-person workshop with Dr. Glenn Ballard, one of the founders of Lean Construction and a co-founder of both the Lean Construction Institute and the International Group for Lean Construction. Glenn will share the origins of Lean Construction, the creation of the Last Planner System®, and his hopes for the future of the movement.

Practitioner leaders Josh DiGloria and Cade Keyes will connect Glenn's ideas to implementation, sharing best-in-class practices for applying Lean and the Last Planner System on real projects. Participants will also take part in hands-on activities focused on key parts of the Last Planner System.

Participants will:

  • Learn how Lean Construction and the Last Planner System developed and how these support projects succeed.
  • See practical examples of Last Planner System implementation on real projects.
  • Participate in hands-on activities that make the system easier to understand and apply.
  • Consider how Lean Construction can continue evolving to meet the industry's future needs.

After the workshop, attendees are invited to a Peruvian-flavor happy hour featuring a special cultural presentation by Pumawari Tusuy Boston in honor of Glenn's contribution to the industry.
