Measuring Continuous Improvement: Shop Products and Library

The second meeting in LCI Des Moines Series on: Measuring Methods for Continuous Improvement. Join us in person or virtually to hear about Modern's innovation around creating and monitoring a library of shop-based products and hangers. Jim Tedrow, Executive PM of Commercial Products, will share how Modern has used productization in their 70,000 SF fabrication shop to save time and improve communication with the field foreman as well has where they hope to take this process in the future.

  • Jim Tedrow, Modern Companies
    Jim has been at Modern for 23 years. He started as a helper/delivery driver and worked as a: Plumber, Foreman, Fab Shop manager, Project Manager, and is now the Executive PM of Commercial Projects. Jim was also nominated to serve on the MCAA Fabrication Committee in 2022.

 

Parking:
Plan to park on the street or the 5th & Watson Powell parking garage. There are two entrances: one on the East under the skywalk and one on the West off of 5th Ave. If you are entering the West side come in through the far right front door.
