Gemba: The Act of physically going to the place where the value is added.  By observing processes where the work happens—whether in the field, design, or organizational settings—teams can uncover opportunities for innovation and alignment.

Join us at Glass Solutions (GSI) where the GSI team will take us on a Gemba walk through their facility followed by training from John Zachara, Vice President at Integrated Facility Solutions.

Learning Objectives for this training are understanding the definition of Gemba, what is the purpose of Gemba walks and how to conduct a Gemba walk.

This “hands on” event will both provide you the tools and show you the process in a controlled environment as well as provide additional real-life examples.

  John is Vice President at IFS and is responsible for business development, marketing and strategy.  With almost 30 years of project management experience, John works with teams to unlock their full potential and eliminate waste.  John is an active member of the Lean Construction Institute (LCI), serving as the National Practice Team Leader for 2025.  John speaks at local and national conferences multiple times each year showcasing the benefits of Lean Construction.
