The Integrated Estimating Workflow In a Design/Build Environment
The digital transformation journey in the AEC industry continues forward and collaboration between the design and preconstruction disciplines is a critical next step. In the previous decade, cross-disciplinary collaboration between design and preconstruction failed due to the lack of a simple, consistent approach. In its place, ad-hoc strategies abound. The Integrated Estimating workflow is a software agnostic, easy-to-use, standardized approach for collaboration with a model that serves design and preconstruction teams well. Preliminary analysis of projects using this workflow are showing promising results in terms of reduction of wasteful redundant labor, and much higher efficiencies in preconstruction efforts.
